We are currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Sheet Metal Fabricator.

Requirements:

  • Comply with all Employer and OSHA Safety Guidelines.
  • Provide regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to be self-motivated with little supervision.
  • Ability to communicate with Team members in Shop or other departments to explain problems or issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret Shop Drawings.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the use and operation of all equipment in Metal Shop including but not limited to Shear, Press Brake, Notcher, Punch Press and Drill Press.
  • Must be able to safely move 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in safety, quality, and production efforts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized Metal Shop.
  • Convey welded frames to Mill Shop or out back and convey cladded frames to finish area or to Warehouse as per “Shop to Warehouse” procedures.
  • Grind, flap, and polish Stainless Steel products.
  • Remove burns / paint seams / welds on underside and back sides of projects.
  • Remove all sharp edges and silicone all voids and cracks.
  • Clearly label outgoing pieces with Job Name and Item # including NSF Component Labels if required.
  • Work with Warehouse personnel to place finished pieces in Staging area.
  • Saw metal for frames and fabricate small parts.
  • Help Sheet Metal Fabricators with shearing, bending and notching material.
  • Flex to Mill Shop when needed to assist Fabricators with cleaning, organizing, sawing, painting louvered panels, adding T-molding or whatever is necessary to maintain the proper production flow.
  • Perform a personal quality check on your work before passing work to next station.
  • Clean and inspect for accuracy all outgoing projects.
  • Communicate low levels of product inventory to Metal Shop Team Leader or Fabrication Supervisor.
  • Communicate any equipment issues to Metal Shop Team Leader or Fabrication Supervisor.
  • Communicate discrepancies or questions on Shop Drawings to Metal Shop Team Leader or Fabrication Supervisor.
  • Communicate ideas for process / product improvements to Metal Shop Team Leader or Fabrication Supervisor.
