HAUPERT UNION BUILDING & LIFE SCIENCES BUILDING

Client/Location:  Moravian College – Bethlehem, PA

  Project Gallery

Project Overview At 13,600 square feet, this was one of the largest projects for Atlantic Culinary Environments in 2018. This project was a complete re-design of three separate locations in two different buildings on campus, including the all-you-care-to-eat student dining stations, kitchen and dish areas, as well as all new unique seating and multi-station retail locations. With the increased interest from college students to see where and how their food is prepared and cooked, we brought food display/preparation to the forefront at each of the stations. Students can now sit at the counter and watch as their food is prepared and placed into the oven. We included new flooring and ceilings with decorative overhead banners throughout the seating area that are rich with the Moravian College colors. There is custom tile work throughout the spaces, as well as custom tables manufactured by Atlantic along with beautiful signage and artwork throughout. The retail locations now have several national brands including Garbanzo’s and Zime. This is also the flagship location for Cru5h.

Unique Challenges/Solutions:  The college wanted us to incorporate as much “Moravian” into the space as possible, so we worked with them to get pictures of the campus, utilized their colors and mascot and their iconic Moravian Star where we could. From the beautiful look of the seating areas to the broad range of foods available, the student participation in the student dining area and the retail section has increased substantially.
