Client/Location: T. Rowe Price – Owings Mills, MD
Project Overview: Atlantic was selected to completely renovate this massive 6,000 square foot kitchen and serving area. The project entailed over 200 feet of intricate millwork in the serving area, with new and existing equipment distributed across eight different station themes. These include a Pizza area, Bakery and Dessert areas, Sushi/Smoke area, Chef’s Table, Downtown Deli, Big City Grill, Soup and Salad, and Action Cooking area. Beverage counters and three POS stations were also included in the re-design. The kitchen renovation utilized a mixture of new and existing equipment, including the replacement of the walk-in coolers and freezer, with minor improvements made in the ware washing area.
Unique Challenges/Solutions: The big challenge on this project was the fact that there was a set timeline in place. Since the food service area was going to be shut down during renovation, the client, by necessity, had to deploy temporary solutions for food and beverage services. This meant that any delay would increase outside costs for the client for continued use of these temporary facilities. By using multiple teams and extended work days, we finished the project on time.
