Project Overview: Atlantic was tasked with providing a total re-design of an existing yet outdated 1,400 square foot serving and dining area in this Geriatric Living Facility. Working with a relatively small area, we managed to modernize the food preparation and serving areas and greatly increased the efficiency of the flow pattern for customers using the facility. Our design allows for a more relaxed and accommodating dining experience for patients, staff and guests. Working closely with the interior design team at Lifebridge, we were able to meet the client’s vision of a new design while maintaining proper compliance within the hospital’s call-out standards.
Unique Challenges/Solutions: This particular dining area was located on the fourth floor, creating an issue for delivering some of the larger pieces of equipment. Due to our extensive experience working in difficult spaces, we were able to safely maneuver what was needed up the narrow staircases and complete the installation.
